Technicians

  • Whitney Gamble
     Whitney joined Pet Medical Center in November of 2006.  She was born and raised in Belvidere, TN, and grew up on a farm with cows, horses, cats and dogs. She has always had various pets, but her favorite has always been her horses.  She is currently in school studying to become a Licensed  Veterinary Technician.  Her pet family consists of 2 horses, several cats and 2 dogs.  She loves working in the veterinary field because it is so interesting and fulfilling to help those who can't help themselves.

  • Ashley L Jernigan
    Ashley who grew up in Manchester, joined Pet Medical Center in June of 2005. Ashley is currently studying to become a Licensed Veterinary Technician. She has a wonderful daughter, Briley, who was born in June 2010. Her pet family includes two boxers, Rebel & Brody. She enjoys working with all species of animals and is a huge sports fan.
Reception Staff

  • Gina Maxwell , Office Manager


    Gina is a McMinnville, Tennessee native.  She attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Nutrition.  She has been working in the field of veterinary medicine for over 20 years  as a receptionist, technician and as an office manager.  In August 2008 she joined Pet Medical Center as office manager after having worked with Dr. Nickels 10 years earlier in McMinnville.  She has two wonderful children Nathan, who now lives in Memphis, and Allison who lives in Chattanooga.  Her pet family includes one dog, a blue heeler mix, Winston. She enjoys listening to music and playing the flute in a community band and in the orchestra at her church. She is also an avid golfer.

  • Bre Eldridge-Smith
    Bre was born in Nashville, TN but was raised in Tullahoma with three older brothers.  After graduating high school, she attended The University of Tennessee and obtained her Bachelors of Science in Animal Science with a minor in Biology.  Bre worked as a dog trainer throughout her college education and she still enjoys helping dog owners achieve their goals with their furry four-legged companions.  She married Brad, a young lawyer of Henry & McCord Law Firm, in March 2010.  She and her husband have a pet family of 2 dogs, a miniature schnauzer, Truffles and an australian shepherd, Zero, as well as 2 cats, Sugar, and Blackberri.  She joined Pet Medical Center in July 2010. 
Assistants

  • Colleen Ostrander
    Colleen started working at Pet Medical Center in 2008.  She was born and raised in Northwest Indiana and moved to Tennessee in 2008. She is a single mom and has a wonderful son, Kyler, who was born March 29th, 2011. She also has five animals, or as she calls them "her kids." Her pet family consists of four dogs, two boston terriers, Sophie, Cam, and two mixed breeds, Tessa and Marley, and also one cat, or "Kat." She bred Sophie with another boston terrier in Smithville, but only gave birth to one puppy, Cam. She says "I love my job because animals are very important to me. There is something new everyday and never a dull moment."
    Cassie Carden

    Cassie, who grew up in Manchester, TN, joined Pet Medical Center in November of 2010. She is currently attending MTSU towards a Bachelors in Animal Science and she already has a Bachelors in Finance from MTSU. She has two sisters, Abby and Chloe. Her pet family consist of a horse, Mighty Mouse, and an old english bulldog, Marley.
